Don't wait for the pain to show up

After a crash, adrenaline can hide an injury for hours or even days. Whiplash in particular tends to surface later — the stiffness, the headaches, the ache between the shoulder blades that wasn't there at the scene.

Getting examined early matters for two reasons. Clinically, soft-tissue injuries respond better when they're addressed before scar tissue and compensation patterns set in. And practically, an exam creates a medical record tied to the date of the crash. A gap between the accident and your first visit is one of the first things an insurance adjuster will point to.

Injuries we treat after an accident

Whiplash & neck injury

The rapid back-and-forth motion of a rear-end collision strains the muscles and ligaments of the neck. Often the worst of it arrives 24–72 hours later.

Back pain after a crash

Low- and mid-back pain from the impact itself or from bracing against it. We assess the whole spine, not just where it hurts.

Disc injuries

Bulging or herniated discs causing pain, numbness, or tingling. Non-surgical spinal decompression is available at both offices.

Sciatica & nerve pain

Radiating pain down the leg from nerve irritation, common after a significant impact.

Post-traumatic headaches

Headaches and migraines that begin or worsen after a collision, frequently tied to neck injury.

Soft-tissue & shoulder strain

Seat-belt and steering-wheel injuries to the shoulder, chest wall, and surrounding muscle.

How payment works — read this part

We do not bill health insurance. That surprises people, so here's the plain explanation.

Care after a car accident usually isn't paid the way a routine doctor's visit is. It's handled through your personal-injury claim — the case against the at-fault driver's insurance. We work directly with personal-injury attorneys and coordinate with them throughout your treatment.

Don't have an attorney yet? You can still be seen. Call us at (470) 800-4041 and we'll walk you through how it works for your situation before you commit to anything.

Documentation your case actually needs

A claim is only as strong as the record behind it. From your first visit we perform a thorough examination, record objective findings rather than just your description of the pain, and document treatment and progress over time.

That record goes to your attorney or adjuster in the form they need it. Dr. Matias has spent years working alongside personal-injury attorneys in metro Atlanta and knows what a file has to contain to hold up.

Common questions

How soon should I come in?

As soon as you're able. Same-day appointments are available at both offices.

What if I feel fine right now?

Get checked anyway. Feeling fine at the scene is common, and it isn't the same as being uninjured.
