Pregnancy
Pregnancy is such a beautiful season of life. Creating another human life is something to be enjoyed and not endured. Pregnancy causes many changes in the body that can then cause unwanted symptoms for not only the mom but also for the baby. At Backed by Blackmon, our Doctor of Chiropractic has a certification in the Webster Technique to provide optimal treatment for the mom’s changing body.
Chiropractic helps support a healthy pregnancy & natural birth! Here’s How….
What are the benefits of chiropractic care prior to pregnancy?
What are the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy?
Did you know that all chiropractors are trained to work with pregnant women? But some have a special interest in serving pregnant women and have taken additional training. Dr. Soammy Matias, DC is one of these chiropractors who has the Webster’s Certification and CACCP designation achieving certification to work with pregnant mothers (and children) through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
The Webster Technique
The Webster Technique is a gentle and specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that can balance the bones, muscles, and ligaments of the pelvis, reduce nervous system stress, and optimize the mother’s pelvic function during pregnancy and birth.
When Should I See a Chiropractor?
We always recommend that patients come in to see us before the start of their pregnancy journey because chiropractic care has the potential to properly prepare the body for pregnancy by stimulating the nervous system. While we understand that not every one is able to see us before the start of their pregnancy, we are more than happy to serve all of our patients during their pregnancy even if the first time they see us is at 35 weeks pregnant. The earlier the chiropractic care starts, then the higher the chances of experiencing the potential benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy
